How can typography cater to the full generational continuum?

Understanding the reading condition is essential to crafting inclusive designs that foster a broader, more diverse audience. From unpacking the reader experience to investigating the limitations of typeface design, Life Cycle delves into how designers and emerging technologies are automating individual accessibility needs to meet readers where they are. Life Cycle explores the ever-evolving spectrum of typographic expectations and capabilities.

Aging affects us all, and as our eyes change, so do our typographic needs. Designers are increasingly addressing age-related challenges to ensure that typefaces and their messages remain as legible and accessible as possible, meeting diverse audience expectations. This project explores how typography can address visual impairments and disabilities, emphasizing the growing importance of automated accessibility in effective communication.
